What an exhausting day today was!  We went to see Zapata Falls... and we really should have done a little bit of research before we went.  We knew it was 1/2 mile walk, but didn't know it was an uphill hike over a rocky path.  They did have benches along the way for us old folks lol  The drive there was over a 3 mile very bumpy, dirt and gravel road.  The views the higher we went were amazing.  You just feel like you can see forever.

We can see the sand dunes we were at yesterday!

Before we started our hike.

The beginning of the trail.

We made it!

To see the actual falls you had to walk/climb across the ice cold water, and we weren't prepared for that.  What we could see was so pretty, and it was nice and cool sitting by the water.  After sitting for a little while, we made the trip back down the mountain.... it was much easier than going up!

A few sky pictures from tonite -

Tomorrow we leave for Durango.  About 150 miles, so the drive shouldn't be too bad.  We do have a mountain pass to go through that looks like it might be a little steep, hopefully that won't slow us down too much!
